A robust watermarking scheme using phase shift keying with the combination of amplitude boost and low amplitude block selection

چکیده
Watermarking is a potential method for copyright protection and authentication of multimedia data in the internet. The watermarking process can be viewed as a communication task, where the watermark acting like information is embedded into a host image acting like noise in a communication channel which is susceptible to all kinds of attacks acting like jamming. In a previous paper, we proposed a robust watermarking scheme using frequency shift keying (FSK). In the scheme, high-variance block selection (HVBS) is employed to enhance robustness. In this paper, a novel watermarking scheme using phase shift keying (PSK) modulation with amplitude boost (AB) and low amplitude block selection (LABS) is proposed. AB is hired to increase the robustness while LABS is employed to improve the imperceptibility. With proper combination of AB and LABS, the proposed scheme achieves superior performance in terms of robustness and imperceptibility. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, simulations under various conditions were conducted. The empirical results showed that QPSK is the best choice among other PSKs and the proposed scheme can sustain most common attacks including JPEG compression, rotating, resizing, cropping, painting, noising and blurring etc. The empirical results also showed that the scheme with AB and LABS properly combined outperforms the scheme without. The gain of the former over the latter is more significant for host images with smooth characteristics than those with high-frequency characteristics. Simulation comparison with two other schemes (the Hsu’s scheme and the Chen’s scheme) showed that the proposed scheme is the most robust among the three. 2004 Pattern Recognition Society. Robust Video Watermarking Schemes in Phase domain Using Binary Phase Shift Keying
This paper presents a robust video watermarking scheme in Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and Sequencyordered Complex Hadamard Transform (SCHT). The DFT and SCHT coefficients are complex and consist of both magnitude and phase and are well suited to adopt phase shift keying techniques to embed the watermark. In the proposed schemes, the phases of DFT and SCHT coefficients are modified to conve...
متن کاملRobust multiplicative video watermarking using statistical modeling
The present paper is intended to present a robust multiplicative video watermarking scheme. In this regard, the video signal is segmented into 3-D blocks like cubes, and then, the 3-D wavelet transform is applied to each block. The low frequency components of the wavelet coefficients are then used for data embedding to make the process robust against both malicious and unintentional attacks. Th...

Due to the increase of users the efficient usage of spectrum plays an important role in digital terrestrial television networks. In digital video broadcasting, local and global content are transmitted by single frequency network and multifrequency network respectively. Multifrequency network support transmission of global content and it consumes large spectrum. Similarly local content are well ...
متن کاملOptical ASK and FSK Modulation By Using Quantum Well Transistor Lasers
In this paper, transistor lasers (TLs) are used as an optical modulator for generation of ASK(Amplitude Shift Keying) and FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) optical signals. Our analysis is based on continuity equation, rate equations, and the theory of discontinuity of quasi-fermi level at the abrupt junction. Our simulation results indicate that, the specification of ASK and FSK optical signals, ar...
